This is my review of 5 of the best RV dehumidifiers.
An RV is a fantastic way to get away from it all, and a great base to have some memorable experiences.
Unfortunately, living in this relatively small space (even for short periods of time) can cause humidity problems.
I have bought, borrowed, (and hired) a few dehumidifiers over the years, so I’ve put together this shortlist of the best portable RV dehumidifiers.
This list is based on my own personal experiences, friends recommendations and some solid in-depth research.
The Ninesky CT2 is my top pick as a dehumidifier for your RV.

Why Do I Need A Dehumidifier?
Cooking, sleeping, showering and damp clothes can cause an excess of moisture in your RV.
High humidity causes condensation, which leads to mold, mildew and that nasty musty smell.
Buying a dehumidifier can also prevent moisture in the electric components of your RV, which can cause rust and lead to electrical failure.
Keeping the moisture level down can also prevent warping and swelling of wooden parts, which leads to ill fitting doors and related items.
Running a dehumidifier can also help with allergies and dust particles, bringing some welcome relief if needed.

If the reservoir gets too full there is an auto shut off function so you never have to worry about overflow.
The unit has a seven color backlight option to choose from, but if that’s not your thing you can just turn the lights off. Overall, a very efficient, quiet and compact dehumidifier.
Gocheer HA81W

⭐️Choice #3
The much smaller Pro Breeze PB-02-US is number 3 on my list of the best RV dehumidifiers.

As it’s a fair bit smaller than the other four units on this list the collection reservoir on the Pro Breeze is quite small.

The Aiusevo SN190 portable dehumidifier comes in at number 4 on my review list.
It has two function modes – normal running and sleep mode. Sleep mode quietens down running operation.

Max Noise Rating: 35dB
Dehumidification Capacity: 14oz / 0.4 L per Day
Reservoir Capacity: 42 oz / 1.2 L
The coverage area of this unit is less than other dehumidifiers of its size and its decibel rating makes it slightly louder as well.
Although number five on the list, the Easyacc is a good budget model.
What Size Dehumidifier Do I Need?
All dehumidifiers have a square area rating.
When looking for a dehumidifier, always look for a unit which is rated to cover at least double the area you want it to work in.
Most dehumidifier manufacturers are pretty optimistic about the square area that their unit will cover, so I have found that halving the figure quoted will make sure that the dehumidifier does the job you want it to do.
Below is a table that will give you an idea of the area in square feet of your RV.
The measurements in the table are only designed to give you a rough idea as they are based on average RV widths.
RV Area² Chart
RV Length | Area In Square Feet |
15 ft | 127 ft |
20 ft | 140 ft |
25 ft | 212 ft |
30 ft | 255 ft |
35 ft | 297 ft |
40 ft | 340 ft |
Noise Levels
Another thing to consider when buying an RV dehumidifier is the noise level of the unit when working.
Some cheaper units can be pretty loud for their size.
All the units listed in this review have what I consider to be an acceptable noise level, and all are rated under 40dB.
The chart below gives you an idea of decibel values.
Sound Comparison Chart
Decibels | Relative Sound |
0 dB | Silent |
10 dB | Breathing |
20 dB | Rustling Leaves |
30 dB | Whisper |
40 dB | Rain |
50 dB | Refrigerator |
All the dehumidifiers listed above are suitable for an RV. They are all portable and small enough to store easily, and when being used won’t take up precious space.
RV’s are prone to moisture damage. Running a dehumidifier in your RV can significantly reduce the amount of moisture in the air, which contributes to condensation, mold, mildew and allergy problems. Read more on moisture control here.
My number one choice would be the Ninesky CT2 unit to help keep moisture build up under control.

FAQ
Where Is The Best Place To Put My Dehumidifier?
Central in the area you want it to work in. If possible, avoid putting the unit in the corner of a room or tight against a wall.
