Running through the Frio Canyon in the Texas Hill Country, it’s a great place to come on a hot Texas day.

Frio River RV Park

The Frio River RV Park is located 5 minutes south of the town of Leakey, Texas. Part of the Clearwater Ranch and Resort, the park sits just a few paces from the river itself.
The park has 25 plots in total and is open year round.
There is a minimum stay of 3 days in peak season and 2 nights off peak.
The plots are spacious and will accommodate larger RV’s, with some plots being pull through.
You will have your own picnic table and a firepit area, BBQ grills are available from the office.
Full electrical and sewer hook up is available, and there is free Wi-Fi at the office if you need it.
The Frio River RV Park is a welcoming family orientated park with private access to the Frio River.
Rio Frio RV Park

Another RV park situated on the banks of the River Frio, You’ll find Rio Frio RV Park about 5 miles south of the town of Leakey, Texas.
The park has recently been renovated by the hosts, Daryl and Veronica, and the facilities are now clean and modern.
Each plot has full hook up and you’ll find a picnic table and a BBQ pit on all plots. WiFi access is also available.
There are bathrooms, laundry facilities and a pavillion with a big screen TV for communal gatherings.
The park is pet friendly and there is a dog park on site.
Rio Frio RV Park is only 5 minutes from Garner State Park and a perfect location on the Frio River.
4J Riverway Cabins And RV Park

Located just half a mile north of Garner State Park, 4J Riverway Cabins and RV Park sits on the east bank of the River Frio.
There are a number of sites capable of accomodating large RV’s up to 56 ft, and full electric and sewer hook up is available.
Each site has a picnic table and BBQ area with firewood sold at the camp store.
There is WiFi access and bathroom facilities for all on the park.
The park has a great store (open seasonally) which sells fishing equipment, a range of camping essentials, basic groceries and icecream.
The 4J Riverway RV Park has activities such as volleyball, bird watching, tubing and access to some great swimming holes.
Nana’s RV Park On The Frio

You can find Nana’s RV Park on the opposite bank of the river to Garner State Park campground, just off Old Leakey Road.
This is a smaller RV park and the sites are economical with space, but there is plenty of shade from the numerous cypress trees.
All sites have electric, water and sewer hook ups along with a picnic table and a firepit. WiFi is also available.
There is a large bathroom and dressing facility next to the office located next to the office at the entrance to the park.
The hosts are very amiable and will go out of their way to assist in anything they can to help you enjoy your stay. They will happily use a 4×4 to transport any activity equipment to and from the river for you at no charge. Down by the river more picnic tables can be found under the trees right on the river bank.
Nana’s RV Park On The Frio has a river frontage location and all the activities the River Frio has to offer.
Parkview Riverside RV Park

Just a little further down the road to Nana’s RV Park, Parkview Riverside RV Park is opposite Garner State Park on the east bank of the river.
The park has a total of 95 sites, there is plenty of shade and all sites have full hook up.
There is a good choice of sites to accommodate every size of RV and picnic tables, firepits and WiFi available.
There is a dump station and you can get propane refilled here.
The park has excellent clean bathrooms, a laundry room, an outdoor pavillion, and a clubhouse.
The camp store has everything you need – basic groceries, fishing gear, beer and gifts.
Parkview Riverside RV Park is a quiet, well run park that has all you need for a stay on the Frio River.
7 Bluff Cabins And RV Park

You can find 7 Bluff Cabins and RV Park on the west side of the river around halfway between Concan and Garner State Park.
Set among a shady pecan orchard, the park sits under the well known 7 Bluff, about 300 yards from the riverside.
There are 17 RV sites in total, with a selection of pull through and back in sites.
Full hook up and WiFi is available.
The showers and restrooms are clean and well maintained, and there is also a coin slot laundry facility.
You will have access to the camp pool and there is a nice playground for the younger kids.
At “Frio Fergie’s River Store” you can get your supplies and gifts, you can also ask about tube hire for a river float.
7 Bluff Cabins and RV Park has fantastic riverside access to the Frio River but be sure to book well in advance.
The Frio River is a fantastic family friendly destination with a host of things to see and do.
About 6 miles south of Concan is the famous Frio Bat Cave. Over 10 million bats do their nightly fly out from March till September. A must see spectacle if you’re in the area.
